Robert Abernathy was an American science fiction author who was active during the mid-twentieth century. Writing primarily during the 1940s and 1950s, a period widely recognized as the Golden Age of Science Fiction, Abernathy established his reputation through his prolific output of short stories. His work was a staple of the numerous pulp magazines that flourished and defined the genre during this era.\n\nAlthough he did not transition to novel-length works, Abernathy's short fiction achieved lasting recognition.
