Alwin Addison was an Australian-born cricketer and banking professional active in the early twentieth century. Born in October 1887, Addison spent his early life in Australia before relocating to New Zealand in 1909. During his time in New Zealand, he pursued competitive cricket, notably playing two first-class matches for the Canterbury regional team in 1910.\n\nIn addition to his sporting endeavors, Addison established a stable career with the Union Bank of Australia. His employment with the bank spanned several decades and required him to move between countries; he worked in New Zealand from 1909 until 1918 before returning to Australia to continue his service. Addison remained with the Union Bank of Australia until his retirement in 1950, and he lived until July 1971.
