Cynthia May Westover Alden, who also wrote under the names Cynthia W. Alden and Cynthia M. Westover, was an American author, journalist, and inventor active during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
In addition to her work in writing and journalism, Alden was employed as a municipal worker for the city of New York. Born in 1862, she maintained a diverse career until her death in 1931.
