Edith Allonby (1875–1905) was an English writer and schoolteacher. Sometimes recorded under the alternative surname spellings of Allanby or Allenby, she balanced her professional duties in education with her creative ambitions as an author of early speculative fiction.

Allonby's literary contributions primarily consisted of three novels. Her first two published works were notable for their imaginative settings, taking place on a fictional planet. In September 1905, Allonby died by suicide, a tragic act motivated by her hope to generate publicity and secure attention for her third and final novel.
