Gerard Baldwin Brown (1849–1932) was a British art historian whose career spanned the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Born in 1849, Brown lived and worked during a period of significant development in the academic study of art and architectural history in the United Kingdom.
Throughout his scholarly life, Brown achieved notable recognition within the academic community, culminating in his election as a Fellow of the British Academy (FBA). This prestigious fellowship marked him as a leading figure in his field. He remained dedicated to the study of art history until his passing in 1932.
