Virginia Lynn Bennett is a retired American diplomat and career Senior Foreign Service Officer. Throughout her career in public service, she focused on international relations, governance, and global advocacy.
Bennett notably served as the Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor. In addition to this leadership role, she also served as the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State within the same bureau.
