Lucien Bianchi was a prominent Italian-born Belgian racing driver active during the mid-twentieth century. He competed in both Formula One and endurance sports car racing, establishing himself as a versatile competitor on the international circuit. Over his career, Bianchi entered 19 Formula One World Championship races, driving for notable teams such as Cooper, ENB, UDT Laystall, and Scuderia Centro Sud, and secured a podium finish with third place at the 1968 Monaco Grand Prix.\n\nIn addition to his Formula One career, Bianchi was highly successful in sports car racing, competing in thirteen consecutive 24 Hours of Le Mans races from 1956 to 1968. His endurance racing career culminated in an overall victory at the 1968 24 Hours of Le Mans alongside co-driver Pedro Rodríguez. Bianchi's life and career were cut short when he died in a crash during a practice session for the 1969 Le Mans race.
