Robert Gale Bishop was an American professional basketball player who competed during the mid-twentieth century. Born in Sumas, Washington, in 1922, he played collegiate basketball for Washington State University.\n\nFollowing his college years, Bishop played professionally for the Philadelphia Warriors in the Basketball Association of America (BAA). During the 1948–49 season, he appeared in 56 games for the team. Bishop passed away in Tacoma, Washington, in 2003.
