Amy Deanne Hooks is an American college softball coach and former catcher who has established a career in collegiate athletics. Born on November 19, 1988, she currently serves as the head softball coach at Lamar University, where she oversees the development and performance of the university's softball program.\n\nPrior to her head coaching tenure at Lamar, Hooks spent six seasons as an assistant softball coach at Northwestern State University. Throughout her coaching career, she has utilized her background as a former collegiate catcher to train and mentor student-athletes.
