Bronte Campbell is a Malawi-born Australian competitive swimmer who has established herself as one of her nation's most successful athletes. Born on May 14, 1994, Campbell is a four-time Olympian and a triple Olympic gold medalist. She reached the pinnacle of individual success at the 2015 World Championships, where she secured gold medals in both the 50-meter and 100-meter freestyle events, earning the title of World Champion.
Throughout her career, Campbell has shared a historic sporting journey with her older sister, Cate Campbell, who is also an elite competitive swimmer. In 2012, the pair became the first Australian siblings to qualify for the same Olympic swimming team since 1972. They also made history as the first Australian sisters to compete against each other in the same Olympic swimming event. Together, they achieved major international success, winning gold medals as teammates in the 4 x 100-meter freestyle relay at both the 2016 and 2021 Olympic Games.
