Clyde Scammell Brown was a Canadian politician who served in the provincial legislature of Newfoundland and Labrador during the mid-twentieth century. Born in King's Cove, Newfoundland, on November 26, 1926, Brown entered provincial politics during a formative era for the region.\n\nHe represented the electoral district of Bonavista South in the Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly from 1951 to 1956. During his tenure in office, he was a member of the Liberal Party of Newfoundland and Labrador. Brown's political career concluded in the mid-1950s, and he later passed away at a hospital in Ottawa on October 18, 1965.
