George Forrest Browne (1833–1930) was an English prelate who served as a bishop within the Church of England during the late Victorian era. Born in December 1833, Browne's career in the Anglican clergy was marked by prominent appointments in key dioceses. In 1895, Browne became the inaugural Anglican Bishop of Stepney, serving in this role for two years. His tenure in Stepney concluded in 1897 upon his appointment as the Bishop of Bristol. He remained an influential figure in the English church until his passing in June 1930.
