Desmond Michael Bane is an American professional basketball player who plays as a shooting guard for the Orlando Magic of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Prior to his professional career, Bane played college basketball for the TCU Horned Frogs.\n\nBane entered the NBA after being selected by the Boston Celtics in the first round of the 2020 NBA draft with the 30th overall pick. He was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in November 2020 before his rookie season began, subsequently earning a spot on the NBA All-Rookie Second Team. In June 2025, Bane was traded to the Orlando Magic.
