Wadsworth Chapel, also known as the Catholic-Protestant Chapels, is a historic structure featuring two separate sanctuaries under a single roof. Located on the campus of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in West Los Angeles, California, the building was completed in 1900 and holds the distinction of being the oldest standing structure on Wilshire Boulevard.
The chapel was closed in 1971 after sustaining damage during the Sylmar earthquake. Although it was officially listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972, the building has since fallen into a state of disrepair. This ongoing deterioration is due to a lack of available funding within the Department of Veterans Affairs to cover the costs of required repairs and renovations.
