Nickolas Gene Carter, born on January 28, 1980, is an American singer who rose to prominence as a lead vocalist of the vocal group Backstreet Boys. Alongside his work with the group, Carter has cultivated a solo career, releasing multiple albums during breaks in the Backstreet Boys' schedules.
His solo discography features his debut effort, Now or Never, released in 2002, followed by I'm Taking Off in 2011, All American in 2015, and Love Life Tragedy in 2025. Carter also partnered with Jordan Knight for the collaborative album project Nick & Knight.
