Henry Anson Castle was an American lawyer, politician, and military officer active during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Born in August 1841, Castle's early career was marked by his service as a captain in the Union Army during the American Civil War, a pivotal period in United States history.\n\nFollowing his military service, Castle transitioned to civilian life, where he built a career as a lawyer and became involved in politics. His civic leadership and developmental initiatives in the state of Minnesota led to his most enduring legacy: the founding of the town of North St. Paul. Castle passed away in August 1916, just days before his seventy-fifth birthday.
