William Anderson Cawthorne, also known as W. A. Cawthorne, was a nineteenth-century entrepreneur based in Adelaide, South Australia. He is best known for co-founding the music and entertainment enterprise Cawthorne and Co alongside his son, Charles Cawthorne, in 1870.

Under their leadership, the company—which also operated under the name Cawthorne's Limited—established itself as a key commercial and cultural hub in Adelaide. The business specialized in the sale of musical instruments, sheet music, and recordings, while also actively serving the community as concert promoters.
