Lucia Chamberlain (1882–1978) was an American novelist active during the early twentieth century. Born in February 1882, she wrote works of fiction that caught the attention of the early film industry, leading to several cinematic adaptations of her literary output during the silent film era.
Among her most notable publications is the 1909 book The Other Side of the Door, which was adapted into a feature film of the same name in 1916. Her 1917 short story "The Underside" served as the foundation for the 1920 motion picture Blackmail. Additionally, her writing provided the basis for the 1916 film The Wedding Guest. Chamberlain passed away in December 1978.
