Anna Alice Chapin (1880–1920) was an American novelist, playwright, and writer of children's literature. Over her career, she produced a diverse body of work that spanned multiple genres, including novels, short stories, fairy tales, and non-fiction books focused on music.
Chapin is perhaps best remembered for her 1904 collaboration with Glen MacDonough, with whom she co-authored the children's book adaptation of the popular operetta Babes in Toyland. Her contributions to early 20th-century children's literature and musical writing remain her primary legacy.
