Ron Corning is an American television host and broadcast journalist who has spent decades anchoring major news programs at both the local and national levels. Raised in Calais, Maine, Corning graduated from Wheaton College in Massachusetts before launching his broadcasting career. He gained early experience working as a reporter and anchor for local network affiliates in West Virginia, Ohio, Missouri, and Washington state.

Corning transitioned to national television as the host and news anchor of the syndicated morning show The Daily Buzz. He later joined ABC News, where he co-anchored World News Now and ABC World News This Morning from 2004 to 2006. During his tenure at ABC, his profile rose significantly, earning him recognition from People magazine as one of the "Most Beautiful People" and from MSN as one of "The Best Anchors" in 2006.

Following his time at ABC, Corning co-anchored Good Day New York on WNYW and later worked at News 12 Long Island. In 2011, he moved to Dallas, Texas, where he spent eight years as a prominent morning anchor for the ABC affiliate WFAA, co-hosting Daybreak and anchoring Midday. After leaving WFAA in 2019, Corning expanded into digital media, contributing to The Dallas Morning News and launching the video podcast series Morning After, which was later adapted into a daily morning show for KDAF.
