Mary Louise Cleave (1947–2023) was an American engineer and NASA astronaut. Throughout her career, she was dedicated to the fields of engineering and space exploration, representing NASA in both technical and operational capacities.
In her later career, Cleave took on significant administrative responsibilities. From 2005 to 2007, she served as the NASA Associate Administrator for the Science Mission Directorate, leading key scientific initiatives for the agency.
