Matthew Michael Melton is an American musician, songwriter, and record producer who has made a distinct mark on the independent rock and power-pop scenes. Born on November 10, 1982, Melton is widely recognized for his prolific output as a vocalist, guitarist, and primary songwriter across several musical projects. He is perhaps best known as the frontman for the band Warm Soda, a project that highlighted his knack for melodic, guitar-driven hooks.

Beyond Warm Soda, Melton's career is characterized by his involvement in a diverse array of bands. He fronted the group Dream Machine alongside his then-wife Doris, and has also led the bands Bare Wires, Snake Flower 2, and Pleasers. In addition to these collaborative efforts, Melton has released solo material that further explores his songwriting sensibilities.

Melton's influence extends into the technical side of the music industry. In 2012, he founded Fuzz City, an independent record label and analog-focused recording studio. Fuzz City has served as the primary creative headquarters for his career, allowing him to record and produce the vast majority of his own musical catalog while fostering a distinct, retro-leaning production aesthetic.
