Paul David Compton is an English former professional footballer and football club manager. Born in Stroud on June 6, 1961, Compton transitioned from playing professional football to taking on various coaching and managerial responsibilities.
Compton is most notably recognized for his tenure as the manager of Torquay United during the 1992–93 season. His career in football management also includes serving as the assistant manager at Dorchester Town.
In the summer of 2008, Compton rejoined Torquay United to serve as the joint manager of their newly established youth set-up, contributing his experience to the development of young players.
