Grace MacGowan Cooke was an American novelist, poet, and short-story writer. Born in 1863, she established a successful literary career, publishing works across multiple genres before her death in 1944.\n\nOver the course of her life, Cooke was exceptionally prolific, writing twenty-three novels, seventy-five short stories, and more than thirty poems. She was particularly known for her frequent collaborations with her sister, Alice MacGowan, with whom she co-authored numerous literary projects.
