Louis Couturat (1868–1914) was a French intellectual who made contributions across several academic disciplines, working as a logician, mathematician, philosopher, and linguist.
In addition to his academic pursuits in philosophy and mathematics, Couturat is highly regarded for his pioneering work in the development of constructed languages. Most notably, he was a leading figure and pioneer in the creation and promotion of Ido, an international auxiliary language.
