David A. Christian is an American veteran and advocate who served as a captain in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Born on October 26, 1948, Christian is highly recognized for his military service and his subsequent public career dedicated to supporting veterans.

During his deployment as a lieutenant in South Vietnam, Christian experienced intense combat, during which he was wounded in action seven times. His actions on the battlefield earned him several prestigious military decorations, most notably the Distinguished Service Cross, which was awarded to him for extraordinary heroism. Following his active service, he became widely known for his extensive veterans' advocacy efforts.

In addition to his advocacy work, Christian entered the political arena in 2012. He campaigned as a candidate for the Republican nomination in the United States Senate election in Pennsylvania, aiming to challenge the incumbent Democratic Senator Bob Casey, Jr. Christian's bid ended during the primary election, which he lost to Tom Smith.
