Spencer Gray Dinwiddie is an American professional basketball player whose career spans collegiate success, multiple tenures in the National Basketball Association (NBA), and international competition. Born in 1993, Dinwiddie first gained prominent recognition during his college basketball career with the Colorado Buffaloes. As a sophomore in 2013, he earned first-team all-conference honors in the Pac-12. Despite a major setback during his junior year due to an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, he recovered to enter the professional ranks.\n\nDinwiddie was selected by the Detroit Pistons in the second round of the 2014 NBA draft. After spending two seasons with Detroit, he joined the Brooklyn Nets in December 2016, where he established himself as a key contributor. His NBA journey subsequently included stints with the Washington Wizards and the Dallas Mavericks, before returning to the Brooklyn Nets in 2023. In early 2024, he was traded to the Toronto Raptors, immediately waived, and subsequently signed with the Los Angeles Lakers for the remainder of the season. He later transitioned to international play, joining FC Bayern Munich of the Basketball Bundesliga and the EuroLeague.
