William Aubrey Cecil Darlington, who wrote under the name W. A. Darlington, was a British writer and journalist active throughout the twentieth century. Born in 1890, he established a prominent career in arts journalism, becoming a key figure in the documentation of contemporary British theatre.
For many years, Darlington served as the dedicated drama critic for the Daily Telegraph newspaper. Through his regular reviews and columns, he analyzed and recorded the evolution of the stage for a wide reading public, continuing his work in journalism until his death in 1979.
