Frederick Corbet "Fred" Davison was an American academic who served as the President of the University of Georgia (UGA) in Athens. Born in 1929, Davison took office in 1967, embarking on a significant tenure directing the institution.
Davison remained in his role as president for nearly two decades, guiding the university through a period of mid-to-late twentieth-century development. He ultimately resigned from his position in 1986 and passed away in 2004.
