Franklin Robbins was an American comic book and comic strip artist and writer, active during the mid-twentieth century. Alongside his career in popular illustration, Robbins was a prominent painter whose fine art achievements gained recognition in major institutions.\n\nHis paintings were exhibited in prestigious venues, including the Whitney Museum of American Art. Notably, one of his works was featured in the museum's 1955 Whitney Annual Exhibition of American Painting.
