Lawrence Louis Donovan was an American pulp fiction writer active in the early to mid-twentieth century. Born in July 1885, Donovan made significant contributions to the popular literature of his era, particularly through his work on the widely read adventure series featuring the character Doc Savage.
Donovan is credited with writing nine Doc Savage novels published between November 1935 and July 1937. These works were published under the house pseudonym Kenneth Robeson, a collective pen name utilized by various authors working for the same publishing house. Despite the shared nature of the pseudonym, Donovan's specific nine novels are formally credited to him, marking his legacy within the pulp fiction genre prior to his death in March 1948.
