Harry Sinclair Drago (1888–1979) was a highly prolific American author, screenwriter, and historian whose career spanned more than five decades. He is best remembered for his extensive contributions to Western fiction and his detailed historical accounts of the American Old West. Over his long career, Drago published more than 100 books, maintaining an impressive average of roughly three books per year.\n\nTo manage his immense output, Drago wrote under a variety of pseudonyms, including Stewart Cross, Kirk Deming, Will Ermine, Bliss Lomax, J. Wesley Putnam, and Grant Sinclair. His Western novels achieved significant popularity and reached a wide audience; notably, President Dwight D. Eisenhower recognized two of Drago's pen names, Bliss Lomax and Will Ermine, among his favorite authors.
