Jacob Dungau Sagan is a Malaysian politician who served as a long-standing member of the country's federal legislature. Born on September 26, 1946, Sagan represented the Baram constituency in the state of Sarawak as a Member of Parliament, maintaining his seat for nearly two decades from 1995 until 2013.
During his tenure in federal politics, Sagan achieved a significant milestone in Malaysian political history. He became the first person of Kenyah ethnicity to be appointed to the position of a deputy cabinet minister in Malaysia, representing his community at the highest levels of national governance.
