John George Edgar (1834–1864) was an English miscellaneous writer active during the mid-nineteenth century. Over the course of his brief life, he produced a variety of literary works, with a significant portion of his bibliography specifically intended for an audience of young boys.
Though his career was short-lived, Edgar's contributions as a miscellaneous writer reflected the growing market for juvenile literature and general interest reading in Victorian England.
