Clayton Edward Kershaw is an American former professional baseball pitcher who played 18 seasons for the Los Angeles Dodgers in Major League Baseball. Widely regarded as one of the greatest pitchers in baseball history, the left-handed starter was an 11-time National League All-Star, a three-time Cy Young Award winner, and the 2014 National League Most Valuable Player. Over his illustrious career, he achieved numerous milestones, including joining the prestigious 3,000 strikeout club, winning the pitching Triple Crown in 2011, and pitching a no-hitter in 2014. He was also part of the Dodgers' 2020 and 2025 World Series-winning rosters.
Beyond his athletic achievements, Kershaw is recognized for his extensive humanitarian efforts. Alongside his wife, Ellen, he launched the charity initiative "Kershaw's Challenge" to raise money for various causes, including building an orphanage in Zambia.
