Edward Ellsberg (1891–1983) was an officer in the United States Navy who also achieved recognition as a popular author. Widely known to the public as "Commander Ellsberg," he balanced his military duties with a successful writing career. He was also honored as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE).
Though primarily recognized for his naval service, Ellsberg's literary contributions allowed him to share his experiences and perspectives with a broad reading audience, establishing his reputation as both a dedicated military officer and a well-regarded writer.
