Paul Frederick Ernst was an American author who made significant contributions to the mid-twentieth-century pulp fiction landscape. Born in 1899, he developed a career writing popular adventure and hero stories for the era's magazine market.
Ernst is most famous for his work on The Avenger series. Writing under the Street & Smith house pseudonym Kenneth Robeson, he penned the original twenty-four novels of the franchise, cementing his place in pulp history. He passed away in 1985.
