Roger Sherman Hoar (1887–1963) was an American public servant and author who balanced a career in law and politics with creative writing. Serving the state of Massachusetts, Hoar worked as a state senator and as an assistant Attorney General.
Beyond his legal and political career, Hoar was an author of science fiction. He published his speculative fiction works under the pen name Ralph Milne Farley, establishing a dual legacy as both a public official and a genre writer.
