James Fitzmaurice-Kelly (1858–1923) was a British writer and scholar who dedicated his career to the study of Spanish literature. Active during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, his academic contributions to the field of Hispanic studies earned him recognition as a Fellow of the British Academy (FBA).
Throughout his career, Fitzmaurice-Kelly focused on analyzing and documenting Spanish literary history. His work served as an important bridge, introducing Spanish literary traditions and authors to English-speaking audiences until his death in November 1923.
