Alfred Fletcher was a German soldier, military officer, and politician who lived from the late nineteenth century through the mid-twentieth century. Born on January 20, 1875, in Lampersdorf, located in the Province of Lower Silesia within the German Empire, Fletcher entered military service and eventually attained the rank of Major.
In addition to his military career, Fletcher participated in German political life. His life and career spanned several major eras of modern German history, from the imperial period through the world wars to the post-war division of Germany. He died on September 20, 1959, in Herzogenaurach, Bavaria, which was then part of West Germany.
