Walter Kittredge Foster was an American inventor and business owner who operated during the late nineteenth century. He is historically recognized as the owner of a pencil sharpener factory and for his association with a prominent historic residence in Stoneham, Massachusetts.

His former home, the Walter K. Foster House, was constructed around 1870 and stands as a significant local architectural specimen. It represents one of only three surviving Italianate side hall entry houses in Stoneham. The building is distinguished by its ornate architectural features, including paneled pilasters on the corners, decorative brackets, and a heavy decorated hood over the doorway. Reflecting its historical and architectural value, the property was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984 and was later included in the Central Square Historic District in 1990.
