Robert Edward Francillon was an English journalist and author who was active during the latter decades of the nineteenth century. Born in 1841, Francillon established a career in the British press and literary scene, contributing to the media landscape of the late Victorian era.
Over the course of his career, Francillon achieved significant professional recognition, eventually rising to the position of managing editor for the newspaper The Globe. He continued his work in journalism and writing until his death in 1919.
