Roy Franklin (1892–1950) was an Australian rules footballer who competed in the Victorian Football League (VFL) as a player for the Melbourne Football Club. Beyond his athletic endeavors, Franklin worked in various professional capacities throughout his life, including serving as a printer and machinist during the mid-1910s.\n\nIn his personal life, Franklin married Margaret Jean Hunter in 1916. In his later years, he transitioned into a career as a real estate agent. He was also an active member of the community, participating in a Masonic Lodge located in Greensborough, Melbourne.
