William Henry Crossland (1835–1908), who practiced professionally as W.H. Crossland, was a distinguished nineteenth-century English architect. Born in Yorkshire, he studied his craft as a pupil of the prominent architect George Gilbert Scott, developing a career that would leave a lasting mark on British architectural history.
Crossland is best remembered for designing three major Victorian structures that have since achieved Grade I listed status. His most celebrated architectural achievements include the Rochdale Town Hall, the Holloway Sanatorium, and the Royal Holloway College. He passed away in London in November 1908.
