Miriam Barnes is an American former track and field athlete who specialized in sprinting and hurdling, particularly the 400 metres events. Born on November 14, 1983, Barnes first gained prominence during her collegiate career at Louisiana Tech University. Competing for the Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters track and field team, she earned distinction as an All-American athlete for her outstanding contributions to the team's relay performances.\n\nFollowing her successful collegiate run, Barnes transitioned to the professional circuit, signing an endorsement deal with Nike, Inc.
