Ángel de Martos y Navarrete was an eighteenth-century Spanish colonial administrator who served in the northern frontiers of New Spain. He is primarily remembered for his administrative roles in the provinces of Coahuila and Texas during the mid-1700s, periods that were marked by significant political challenges and administrative controversies.

Martos y Navarrete first served as the governor of the province of Coahuila from 1757 to 1759. Following this term, he was appointed governor of Texas, serving from 1759 to 1766. His administration in Texas became notorious for a high degree of corruption. This misconduct eventually led to official investigations, trials, and severe sanctions, including a substantial fine and a permanent ban from holding any future public office.
