Ruth Stiles Gannett (1923–2024), also known as Ruth Stiles Gannett Kahn, was an American children's writer. She achieved lasting recognition in the field of children's literature for her imaginative storytelling.
She is best known as the author of My Father's Dragon and its two sequels. Together, these three books are collectively referred to as the My Father's Dragon series or the Elmer and the Dragons trilogy, remaining her most famous and enduring contribution to children's books.
