Erle Stanley Gardner was a prolific American author and lawyer who achieved massive commercial success in the mid-twentieth century. Best known as the creator of the fictional defense attorney Perry Mason, Gardner blended his legal expertise with fast-paced storytelling to craft some of the most popular detective fiction of his era.
