John Ulrich Giesy (1877–1947) was an American physician, novelist, and author. He is best remembered as one of the early, pioneering writers in the "Sword and Planet" science fiction subgenre, helping to shape the tropes of adventure-filled speculative fiction during the early twentieth century.

Giesy's most significant contribution to the genre is his Jason Croft series. Throughout his literary career, he frequently collaborated with author Junius B. Smith, with whom he co-wrote many of his published stories.
