Giovanni Buralli, widely known as John of Parma, was a prominent thirteenth-century Italian Franciscan friar and theologian. Born on March 5, 1208, he rose to prominence within the Franciscan Order, eventually serving as one of the early Ministers General of the Order of Friars Minor from 1247 to 1257.
Throughout his life, Buralli was recognized as a distinguished theologian of his era. His leadership of the Franciscan Order occurred during a formative period of its history. He passed away on March 19, 1289, leaving behind a legacy defined by his administrative service and theological contributions to the medieval Church.
